All New Mercedes SLK is Finally Revealed

The SLK rebuild the successful bodystyle of two-door folding metal hardtop that debuted long back in 1997. The fresh third generation car gets an outstanding nose that's clearly inspired by Mercedes' top-end SLS AMG supercar, while the swept-back headlights obviously borrowed from the latest CLS which set to debut at the Paris Motor Show. Except the new crease which runs from the front wing indicator back into the doors to add a little extra visual drama In profile, the SLK seems very similar to its predecessor.

Under the hood, the SLK gets a new lines of powerplant. The basic model SLK200 will get the 201bhp 1.8-litre CGI petrol, while the diesel power for the first time will be available for the convertible, and the 201bhp 2.4-litre CDI unit is borrowed of from the E-Class. The 300 V6 model is stopped, but the SLK350 raises the renewed 302hp direct injection V-Series 3.5-litre V6.

At the back, Mercedes also created an angular bootlid for this SLK, which is similar to that sported by the current E-Class Coupe, yet flanked by LED taillights. The all new SLK also gets trapezoidal exhaust pipe tips. And for the interior, the the SLS design will influence much in here. A minimalist design and retro air vents feature are likely to be applied, along with the seat-built-in firm's clever AirScarf neck warmers.
